HOW TO PLAY

Start here.

YOU’LL NEEDOne flashlight and a visible home base
  1. 1After dark, mark home base and the boundary. Give one seeker the flashlight. The seeker closes their eyes at base and counts to thirty while everyone else hides. Then start a ten-minute timer.
  2. 2The seeker searches with the flashlight. To catch a hider, the seeker must hold the beam on them and correctly call their name.
  3. 3A caught player waits at home base. The seeker keeps searching until everyone is caught or a ten-minute timer ends.
  4. 4If everyone is caught, the last person caught wins. If the timer rings first, all uncaught hiders share the win. A winner volunteers to seek next; if nobody volunteers, draw a name.

LighthouseBefore hiding, mark a spot where the seeker must stand throughout the search. Hiders must hide within view of that spot, using cover. The seeker may turn but not walk; beam-and-name catches still apply. After three minutes, uncaught hiders share the win. Rotate the seeker and begin a new round.
