HOW TO PLAY

Start here.

YOU’LL NEEDNothing
  1. 1Choose one seeker. Mark the hiding boundary and a visible home base. Pick either seen-means-found or tag-to-catch.
  2. 2The seeker closes their eyes at base and counts loudly while everyone else hides. After counting, the seeker calls ‘Ready or not, here I come!’ and starts searching.
  3. 3Seen-means-found: the seeker catches a hider by calling that person’s name and location. The caught hider waits at base.
  4. 4Tag-to-catch: the seeker must tag a hider before that person touches base. Reaching base first protects the hider. Either way, that hider waits at base.
  5. 5The round ends when every hider is caught or protected. The first person caught becomes the next seeker. If nobody is caught, the same seeker goes again.

REMIX THE RULES

Complete twists.

Tag-to-catchSeeing a hider does not catch them. The seeker must tag them before they touch home base. Reaching base first protects the hider; getting tagged catches them. Both wait at base. The first person caught becomes the next seeker. If nobody is caught, the same seeker goes again.
Color shiftGive each hider one of three colored cards. Once per round, the seeker returns to base, closes their eyes, calls one color, and counts to twenty. Hiders with that color may stay or change spots. The seeker then resumes the same search. The round ends when every hider is caught or protected.
